The Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA)™
The Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA)™, a social-emotional strategy developed by therapist Howard Glasser that strengthens relationships among family members through the intentional direction of emotional energy. The NHA™ is particularly effective when working with intense/challenging behaviors and personalities.
I first became acquainted with The Nurtured Heart Approach in 2007 and have since incorporated it as the cornerstone of my work with children and families here in the Methow Valley. After several years of training, I became North Central Washington's first Certified Trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach in 2012 and have found great success through sharing the Approach with parents who have used it to improve their child's success both at home and at school.
